چکیده

Abstract This paper aims to improve micromixing in T-shaped microchannels using heterogeneous zeta potential, which is essential for analyzing biochemical fluids various industrial applications. We investigate the impact of different parameters, including applied electric field, and a number surface patterns, on microchannel mixing performance. Our results demonstrate that increasing potential pair patches amplifies recirculation zone, improving performance within microchannel. Therefore, we recommend value enhance further. Additionally, examine non-Newtonian behavior fluid power law model find pseudoplastic (n < 1) have lower compared dilatant > due higher velocity. evaluate effects parameters design an efficient micromixer achieves rapid homogeneous sample fluids. Finally, optimize efficiency Taguchi achieve optimum mixing. The optimized corresponding also determined.

Time-periodic Electroosmotic Flow of Non-newtonian Fluids in Microchannels

The alternating current electroosmotic flow of a non-Newtonian power-law fluid is studied in a circular microchannel. A numerical method is employed to solve the non-linear Poisson-Boltzmann and the momentum equations. The main parameters which affect the flow field are the flow behavior index, the dimensionless zeta potential and the dimensionless frequency. At very low dimensionless frequenci...

Non-Newtonian Fluids: An Introduction

The objective of this chapter is to introduce and to illustrate the frequent and wide occurrence of non-Newtonian fluid behaviour in a diverse range of applications, both in nature and in technology. Starting with the definition of a nonNewtonian fluid, different types of non-Newtonian characteristics are briefly described. Representative examples of materials (foams, suspensions, polymer solut...

Heat Transfer of Liquid/ Solid Fluidized Beds for Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Fluids

The excellent performance of fluidized bed heat exchangers is due to the interaction between particles and heat transfer surface and to the mixing effects in the viscous sublayer. In this paper, the results of experimental investigations on heat transfer for a wide range of Newtonian and non-Newtonian (shear-thinning power law) fluids are presented. New design equations have been developed ...
